Greetings
from Sterling and Tucker. All of us wish you a very happy, healthy
and prosperous New Year.
The beginning of a new year is a time for reflection and good intentions.
We look back on the past year and look ahead to the year to come.
We see the opportunity for a fresh start and resolve to take care
of things neglected in the past.
Yearend statements for various bank and brokerage accounts are arriving
in our mailboxes reminding us that we should assess the performance
of our investments. Also, tax reporting forms for various investment
accounts are arriving and reminding us that the annual rite of spring
-income tax filing – is near.
For those of us owning real property, new real property tax assessments
have arrived and we review these with mixed emotions. On the one
hand, it is good to see our home and other real property worth more
than a year ago. On the other hand, it is not so good to know that
we will be paying more in real property taxes.
In the proper mood and with the paperwork before you, now is the
time to review your estate planning, financial planning and tax
planning. Are you certain that your will, trust, power of attorney,
health care directive are up to date and providing the protection
that you want for yourself and your loved ones? If you have a trust,
have you fully funded it? Do you have the confidence that the way
you are handling and investing your money will allow you to reach
your various lifetime financial goals? Are you taking advantage
of the tax laws and paying your fair share of taxes but not more
than that amount?
At Sterling and Tucker our goal is to provide you with the ongoing
support so that you can keep your estate planning, financial planning
and tax planning up to date. We are currently offering you the opportunity
for a complimentary review of your estate planning. In that meeting
if there are issues related to financial planning or tax planning
that arise, we will discuss with you how to address these issues.
So, if you have not already done so, start the New Year right and
call our office and schedule a review meeting.
Also, do a real favor for a friend or family member. Cut out the
coupon below and give it to someone you care about who should be
doing estate planning. With the incentive of a new year, desire for
a fresh start and the special discount provided with the coupon,
you can inspire that person to do very necessary and important planning
for himself and his loved ones.
Do enjoy a very fulfilling new year with the peace of mind of knowing
that your estate planning, financial planning and tax planning are
in order.
